Nobody starts a business because they wanted to do bookkeeping. They start it because they are good at something — building, designing, fixing, advising, caring for people — and they are good enough at it that someone will pay.
Then the business grows, and the numbers arrive. Invoices, payroll, a card statement nobody has opened, a quarterly tax deadline that seems to come around faster every year. None of it is what the owner is good at. All of it has to be done.
So it gets done at eleven o’clock on a Sunday, badly, or it gets pushed to March and handed to an accountant as a shoebox. Meanwhile the actual business — the thing that earns, the thing the owner is exceptional at — gets whatever attention is left over.
A large company has a finance department. Someone whose entire job is to watch the cash, flag the problem early, and tell the people running the business what they need to know before they need to know it. A business doing a million dollars a year has an owner, a bank balance, and an accountant they speak to once a year.
That gap is the whole reason LedgePoint exists. We took the discipline that large organizations apply to their money — reconciled books, forward-looking cash forecasts, a reserve set aside before the bill arrives — and built it for businesses at a scale that could never justify hiring for it.

Everything we do runs in the cloud, so we work with clients throughout California and beyond. Being local simply means we can sit across a table from you when that is the better way to have the conversation.
Giving back
Every business we work with was built by somebody who took a risk on themselves. The Bay Area runs on those people — the trades, the studios, the practices, the shops that turn a stretch of road into somewhere worth being. This practice exists because they do.
